The critical analysis I’m choosing is Sigma’s new album, “Life. I’ve chosen two reviews from two different sites that talks about the new album in two contrasting ways.
The first one is a review from The Guardian.

Sigmas Album cover.
The writer in this review talk about the drum and bass genre coming to the charts and becoming big! This is because the collaborations that Sigma have decided to do. Having people like Rita Ora, Ella Eyre and Labrinth. All very good artist, put in the sound of drum and bass! It works with everyone, as its not heavy but however still in the same genre. Has this worked out? The quote they used, “Perfectly functional, completely unoriginal dance music with its sights set on the charts.”
Second review is from EveningStandard.
This review is negative. They talk about the album being “a pile of hit singles“. However, this point is fair. The album didn’t come out all at once. The song came out one after each other so they’re like singles, not like a album. They also critic the music they make by saying all the songs are similar and it is rushed. The quote they used is “There are scorching guest vocals from familiar pop names including Rita Ora, Ela Eyre and Paloma Faith, and a rollercoaster rush of drums as the choruses kick in.” Which isn’t true, all the songs sound different, and not rushed.
