1st Week

1st April

A – Publish Project 2 and I continued working on my Ep and the Club Night Event. That being starting the projects off on Ableton and the start of the planning on the club night. Like talking to people, joining up as a group and start the movement.

2nd Week

8th April

A – I continued working on my club night, talking to everyone in the group about Dj’s and venues. The outcome of the meeting was very positive and it helped all of us out because we communicated and spoke about how we feel towards the DJ’s. We was all set on the venue because it was where we all wanted it. But the Dj’s was different because some of us didn’t want to spend that much but some us wanted to spend more than usual. I personal didn’t want to spend that much but I didn’t mind spending a little bit. So we all agree to a £500 budget. It seems a lot but between 4 ways, it wasn’t that difficult.

3rd Week

15th April

A – I also continued working on the club night but however my EP as well, planning how many tracks and dates. I was originally going to do 2, but however I’m going to do 3. More tracks to make the EP bigger. Was always going to Free Download on Soundcloud as I wasn’t interested in putting it up on a label any time soon. I wanted labels to come to me. On the club night, we decided on the DJ’s and got the venue booked. Was just waiting on emails back on Agents.

4th Week

22nd April

A – Started working on my Task 01 which was my Proposal talking about my Club Night Event and my EP. This was completed this week. As well as 1 full track was completed for my EP, and started working on the 2nd track as soon as I had mixed down the first one and exported it.

5th Week

29th April

A – Carried on with my Tasks for FMP, spoke more about DJ’s and money for the event, and continued with my EP. I set myself a few tasks. I wanted at least 1 more track done and mixed down. I wanted the money for the event to be paid off and I wanted to complete a few tasks on my FMP. I achieved all of them, I finished a track and started a new one! I paid my money off and I finished 1-2 new FMP tasks. That being Research and Problem Solving.

6th Week

6th may

A – Carried on with my EP. As well as completed it! I did this because I wanted it done and finished so I dedicated my whole week to it. I finished all 3 of my tracks and mixed them done. Then I started trying to master and get help from other people, like my tutor, and people on a Facebook Page called DNB Production. But it was taking up a lot of my time and wanted it done so I can prioritise other tasks. Eventually at the end of the week I got all three of my tracks mastered and completed, so I now just needed to work on my Club Night and my written tasks.

7th Week

13th may

A – Continued to work on Club Night and main focus on FMP tasks. Just focused on getting the written work done so I wasn’t falling behind in weeks or it wasn’t a rush at the last minute. Just spoke to the rest of the group about the Club Night, Looking at promotion ways and getting the rest of the artwork finished up so we could get the Facebook Page all up a running ready for promotion!

8th Week

20th may

A – Go the Artwork was finished. Completely finished Club Night organising, pushing promotion, continued on FMP tasks. Also had a meeting with out tutor about budget, to help us sort all of our planning out and see where we was and how we was getting on with the Club night.

9th Week

27th may

A – Full promotion push, EP is ready to be dropped, Finishing off tasks on my FMP. Found a date for the EP. 7th of June, a Friday where all the drum and bass music comes out (Drum and Bass music usually comes out every Friday). Just finishing off tasks and fully promoting the Facebook Page and the Instagram. To get as many people as we can to come to our event.

10th Week

3rd June

A – Finished off my FMP and the final pieces of my EP so it is ready to be launched. Just did little touch ups to the WordPress making sure I have all the information I can provide. Just the last pieces of promotion on the EP, so it ready to be dropped. We still have a lot of promotion on the Club Night, like posting posters up and all the shares on facebook, but we are doing the posters 1-2 weeks before so its fresh and people are unlikely to take it down 1-2 weeks before, if it was up there for a while, it is more likely to happen.
