My Proposal For My FMP

Section 1: Rationale

My strengths are that since the start of the year, I’ve grown my knowledge and skills DJing, I’ve performed a show on Trickstar Radio recently, recorded a few mixes to my Soundcloud as well. I’ve also become very confident with using Ableton Live and understand how to progress further with making my track go from average to professional standard as I have also recently had a release on Juno Downloads with RAW Recordings.

Section 2: Project Concept

For my Project, Myself, Dion, Joe and Murray will be setting up a Drum and Bass event at the Volks nightclub in Brighton. We have already booked out the club for the night which cost £100 which collectively provides us with bar staff, sound system, mixing equipment and security for our event. We have also hired out Dutta and Sinu8 for our event to DJ. Dutta cost us £450 which doesn’t include his rider. Sinu8 costs us around £100.

I’m also going to be creating an EP for my FMP. It will contain 3 tracks from myself and I may include a collaboration in the EP. I will need to get cover art created for it, which I can get a friend or someone from the Art Department at college to create for me. I will also be sending out my EP to different record labels with the hope that the track will get signed to their record label. If I cant get a record label to sign it, I will most probably make it a self release, free download on Soundcloud.

Section 3: Evaluation

For documenting my results for the FMP I will be writing down in the table below of how well I’m progressing and how quickly I am meeting the targets I have set myself.
