I was chosen to be the headliner for the mix.
I think in my mix I did very well, I used all the right type of music to perform as a headliner. That being at 12/1 at night, when the real party starts.
The mix flowed nicely, there was a range of different tracks with so many different artists. Good variety of filters and switchs. Which I think is important for a mix that’s a headliner. I played known tracks aswell, so if people were listening, they would know what they are listening to.
i feel like some parts needed improvement however. For example, my beat making could use a little more practice. I think a few times it was not fully beat matched. I just need to perfect it. Also, I feel like maybe I should of had a proper break down in the mix. It was just pure drum and bass the whole way through so I feel like I should of put a popular track break down that would of got a crowd to sing along.
Peer DJ Performance
This is Liam’s Mix that he recorded for the Dj Performance we did.

I listened to the whole mix, and it was very heavy. Not in a bad way. It was full of rollers and raving type of drum and bass, so I’m guessing that Liam got a headliner in his Dj Performance. It was very fast paced and the songs fitted perfectly for a headliner. Also the tracks he used were very well known, so I think he was a headliner.
The mix flowed really well, the other thing I would say to improve is the style of mixing. Maybe chuck some filters on, do some cutting on the two tracks, make it sound funky but well done as well. Not tacky. But it went to one track to another really well and I enjoyed listening to it as it was my type of drum and bass too.
